The documents required are the following: bill of lading/airway bill, commercial invoice, packing list, fumigation certificate, deed of donation, and Certificate of origin.
Used Personal Effects Importation of used household items and used personal effects by passengers is not allowed unless they are the personal effects of Iranians who have been living abroad for at least one year and have not been back during the last six months of their stay. Used household belongings and used personal effects of foreign citizens who come to Iran to stay may be released provided that they have been moved from the passenger's homeland and arrive at the Customs from one month prior to the passenger's arrival to nine months thereafter, and suit to the passenger's appearance and social standing, and are not of commercial interest.
Compliance with other terms and conditions provided in paragraph 6 of Article 37 of the Customs Affairs Law is mandatory.
Restricted Items include the following: - Exportation of golden ornaments up to 150 grams is permissible. Precious stones should not go over one carat. - Exportation of silver ware up to 3 Kilogram is permissible, stated that they are not antiques. - Importation of ornaments within personal status is allowable; if more – it requires previous permission from the Central Bank.
The following items are prohibited to import: alcoholic drinks; gambling tools; weapons, ammunition and explosive goods; narcotic drugs; magazines, photos, film and snaps and those goods which is against religious and national dignity of the country; any type of writings against the official region of the country and or discipline disturbance and public purity and national dignity; different type of goods which has ligitimate and legal prohibitance and or this import and export has not been prohibited according to the customs tariff table or special rules; pork meat or any derivative of pork. |
