First of all, plan how you will pack. At the beginning pack items that you don’t use often.
Start packing as soon as you get to know you’re moving.
Do not pack flammable items or non-allowable items ever.
Use abundant amounts of paper inside the carton on the top and bottom to make good cushion.
List contents and room on the outside of the carton.
Noticeably mark “Fragile” on the outside of cartons.
Use clean newsprint paper. Old newspapers may work, but use them cautiously because the ink may print onto your items. You may get clean “newsprint” paper from your local agent.
Cartons with essential items such as cooking utensils, toiletries, etc., mark with words “Open First”.
Separate breakables and non-breakables.
All cartons should be packed tightly.
Use professional packing tape. Masking tape isn’t strong enough to hold up fully packed cartons. You may get packing tape from your local agent.
